2012 Petite Sirah

With the grapes growing at 1000' elevation above the frost line, the location lends itself to producing high quality Petite Sirah grapes. This is a classy version of Petite Sirah with smooth, dense blackberry and cherry flavors. The increadible color and firm tannins confirm it is a petite Sirah. With its famous heartiness, this is the ultimate fancy burger or gourmet thin crust pizza wine!

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Inkgrade: An eastern-facing mountain vineyard, located in a frost free zone between the valley floor and mountain top with ancient marine sedimentary soils.
Winemaker Notes
The 2012 growing season was a welcome respite from the challenges nature posed in 2010 and 2011. The season began early with the vines setting a bountiful crop. Our grapes thrived in excellent growing conditions and developed complex flavors supported by a refined phenolic profile.

Received this wine in our wine club shipment and drank it tonight with NY Steak. It had nice concentrated fruit, big body and complex tannins in the long finish. It took about an hour to fully develop after opening and decanting. Really enjoyable.
